Review: Magyk by Angie Sage

Book: Magyk by Angie Sage
Genre: YA Fantasy
Challenges: TBR
Rating: A

I loved this book! What a fun fantasy! What an amazing magic system this author has worked out. What a massive adventure is going on here.

The story begins with a couple of babies being born, who are then switched. Well, with one of them, we don't really know what happens to him, but we have a pretty good clue. We fall in love with this family of just "ordinary wizards" who end up with the girl baby. Then ten years go by in a flash, and things really get rockin' then. The bad wizard shows up and sends his hunters and assassins out searching for the girl baby. So they, the family, have to run to save her. After that, it's just one crazy happening after another. Great story. Great characters that I instantly cared about, and like I said, an amazing world that's been created here.

And once again, guess what? This is the beginning of a series, so it will be awhile before I'm all caught up and have to feel sad about not having more to read!
