Reading Recap November 2014

A favorite picture this month:
On The Farm

Not much reading happened this month. Writing happened instead. I don't know why it has to be either one or the other, but it appears that's mostly how it is. Anyway, I read a few things.

Hunt for the Skinwalker by Colm A. Kelleher and George Knapp: A fascinating look into the strange things happening on a Utah ranch.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray: The characters in this book have the ability to travel between alternate realities and this they do in order to catch a killer.

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger: The classic tale of a crazy weekend that depressed teenager Holden Caulfield has before he hits rock bottom.

The Unhappening of Genesis Lee by Shallee McArthur: What would happen if you could store your memories in tangible objects and then what would happen if those objects got stolen?

Begin Again by Brittney Mulliner: Aubrey moves in with her brother to escape a harrowing event that happened in her life.

Something About Love by Elana Johnson: Olivia has to get beyond some issues with her mom before she can be with the guy she loves.

Favorites of the month: A Thousand Pieces of You and Something About Love. I inhaled them both!

Plans for December:

  • re-read Pope Joan for book club
  • read Atlantia
  • read a few more Beehive Award nominated books including The Boyfriend App, Out of the Easy, Splintered, and perhaps, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown
  • read The Winner's Curse
  • read anything I can from the stack of recently acquired books!
Hoping for the best! How did your month go?

  1. Um, you still read quite a bit. If I could read that many books in a month, I'd be ecstatic!

  2. Good month, love seeing a classic there!
    Happy December reading!

  3. I love that this list isn't even for a "good" reading month :) I'm hoping to read The Winner's Curse this month too.

  4. YES! The Winner's Curse! Our hearts can bleed together!

  5. I want to read Atlantia, too!! It's a really awkward sized book, though ... I do have to say that! Ha ha ...
