Currently: It appears to STILL be summer!

Listening

Can't think of anything specific I've been listening to this week. Just more OneRepublic and lots of Eurasure Pandora station.

I've been having more fun creating playlists on Spotify though. Worked on my "retro" list this week.
Watching

Not much of anything because it's a fight for Netflix around here (only two devices can go at a time, you see!) But I have watched more Merlin. Only a couple of episodes left.

Reading

Just finished The Breakaway and am now onto Surrender... my first two books by Utah authors for this month. I have lots of reading to do!

I checked out some books from the library a week or so ago, and I really wanted to read them, but not sure I will now. Maybe they'll have to wait, sadly.

I devoured the book for book club in nearly one sitting, Between Shades of Gray. Review to come soon. Wow.

Blogging

It's all about Utah Books Month around here for me this month. Hopefully you'll enjoy that and not get sick of it. But, I'm having fun with it anyway.

This past week we had the following posts if you'd like a recap:
Ally Condie featured on Kami's blog
Attack of the Books featured on Jennifer's blog
Read Five Utah Books Challenge at the Utah Books blog
One True Pairings Challenge on Stephanie's blog
A giveaway for David Farland's Nightingale on Daniel's blog

And if you Utah peeps missed it, here's the info about the party planned for September!

Eating

It's all about crappy eating these days. Time to try getting on the wagon yet again.

I've plans to make Cafe Rio pork for dinner tomorrow though! That should be interesting. I don't think it'll be hard, so we'll see how that goes.

But hey! Our tomatoes are finally turning, so I'll be inhaling BLTs for the next month! LOVE 'em!

And also, I finally made some zucchini bread! So yummy.

My extended family has decided to launch a Dessert Sunday once a month. All I can think is the opportunity this will give me to try out some Pinterest desserts, without ending up eating the whole thing. Can't wait!

Miscellaneous
** next weekend half my family is running the Epic Relay and the other half will be volunteering at a pit stop for it. Guess which half I'm in!? Anyway, I'm anxious about it all and I hope it turns out fun.

** also this month, JURY DUTY! Why does this strike terror in my heart? Here's hoping "my" case is cancelled!

** school starts soon. For me that now means one kid just staring high school and THREE in college, and all of them in different ones! It's going to be a blast, right?

** still hot.

  1. I haven't made zucchini bread in years. We don't plant it and, strangely, I don't know anyone who'd got more than they know what to do with. I miss it! I'm with you on the BLTs! I wait 10 months of the year to have BLTs with tomatoes straight off the vine - there's really nothing else like them, is there? I love the idea of Dessert Sunday! May have to talk my sister into doing something like that.

  2. Oh I forgot it was Utah Author month. I'm currently deep into a Helen Hollick trilogy. I'll have to try to get at least one Utah Author in this month. I've been wanting to read matched for quite a while. thanks for the reminder.

  5. I have been wanting to make some zucchini bread for a while now and can't get my hands on good ones. I hope to hit up a farmer's market and find me some soon! I'm in the mood!!!

I'm really ready for school to start around here. Being the new kids in town, my friends still have not met any friends their age in the neighborhood. It is time!!
