Top Ten Tuesday: Feasting With Authors

What authors would I want to invite to my Thanksgiving feast? This is the question today over at The Broke and the Bookish, and I'm thinking that you all know already who I'd like to invite! Do I even need to do this post!!? :) Well, just for fun, I throw in a few you probably are not expecting.

Top Ten Authors I'd Love to Feast With
(and I've decided to limit my authors to living ones,
as if that could make the fantasy come true or something)

1. John Green
of course, because he's so cute and funny
 and intelligent and witty,
and yes I love the puff.

2. Neal Shusterman,
because he seems so nice and
 smart and cool

3. Judy Blume,
just to make sure we have some class and experience included

4. Robin McKinley,
because she seems so eccentric and interesting

5. Avi,
because he's a mystery
and I'd like to see what he's all about

6. Megan Whelan Turner,
because I want to know the person
that created a character like Gen

7. Patrick Rothfuss,
because we need one of those epic fantasy types in the mix
and he seems like fun

8. Patrick Ness,
because it would be interesting to see what he's really like,
and if he's anything like his books! That might actually be kinda scary.

9. Janette Rallison,
just because she would keep us laughing
and because I could see us being friends in real life

10. And finally, hmmm.... I wonder who it could be... oh, right...
Markus Zusak!
Because. Well, because he's by far the coolest author ever.

Yeah, liked I'd be able to eat if ANY of these authors showed up for Thanksgiving!

Well, and so, who would be on YOUR list?

  1. Yes to Megan Whalen Turner, Robin McKinley, Patrick Ness and John Green! I thought of participating in this meme but we don't have Thanksgiving here in the Philippines LOL.

  2. Some unique choices! Love John Green, Robin McKinley, Judy Blume, and Avi!

    Happy Thanksgiving! Here's mine: http://feministfairytalereviews.blogspot.com/2011/11/top-ten-tuesday-2-authors-id-love-to.html

  3. What an eclectic bunch! That would be some fun dinner conversation!

  4. I love these photos, especially that of John Green!

Here's my Top Ten: Top Ten Authors I'd Love to Have at My Thanksgiving Feast. I hope you will stop by and sign up for my November Giveaway and my Gratitude Giveaway. I'm giving away two $25 Amazon gift cards!

  5. Great list! That's a dinner I would happily attend. :)

  6. That would be quite a dinner conversation.

  7. You had me a little worried there for a minute. I kept thinking, where is Markus Zusak. I knew he'd be your top one, but I was surprised when he wasn't number 1 on the list, lol.

  8. I thought about adding Robin Mckinley. Janette Rallison would be fun, I didn't think about her.

  9. John Green made my list too. I went to hear him speak the other day and he said something about meeting Judy Blume and calling her an icon. She responded by saying something like, I'm so sick of being called an icon! I thought that was hilarious.

  10. Oh nice typo I just noticed! Too bad those of you coming later to this blog... I'm going to fix it now!!

Chachic: No Thanksgiving? You can still think of what authors you'd like to invite to ANY dinner!

Jennifer: Glad you like this list and that it is unique. I was hoping for some different ones.

    Megan: Yes, it sure would!

Deb: He's he lovely, that John Green?

Kailana: Yes, you can come! I invite you too! :0

Ann: I'm sure I'd just be listening in and grinning ear to ear.

Jenni: Of COURSE he's number 1! I was just saving the best for last.

Jenny: You had the best idea, however, on how to set up this dinner. I would be crashing your party though.

Melissa: I think many authors really look up to her... and so they can come to my dinner and be starstruck by her, while I, in turn, will be starstruck by THEM.

  11. I am glad I saw this list. I thought Avi was a woman. My bad.
