2. Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal: A Pride and Prejudice-like story with magic.

3. The Blue Jeans Rebellion by Joanna H. Krauss: What happens when a boy in a 1800's conservative community decides he wants something different.

4. American Royals by Katharine McGee: What if America had royalty?


FEBRUARY

5. The Elephant's Girl by Celesta Rimington: During a tornado a young girl is lost and family is gone, but she is found at the nearby zoo being protected by an elephant.

6. The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary: What happens if you share a flat with a dude you've never met, and plan to never met since he lives there during the day, and you live there during the night. No problem, right?

7. Beginners Welcome by Cindy Baldwin: Our girl and her mom are trying to cope with the death of their dad/husband. 

8. Beautiful Melody by Trish Milburn: Chim, leader of the famous kpop group SBG, finds love when he is reunited with a childhood friend.

9. A Captain for Caroline Gray by Julie Wright: Our girl is on her way to India to meet her potential husband, but meets the captain of the ship in the meantime.

APRIL

15. My Life as a Potato by Arianne Costner: cute story about a kid who ends up as his school's potato mascot

16. What Stars are Made of by Sarah Allen: our girl wants to get her favorite scientist listed in her textbook

17. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik: a very lose, but wonderful, retelling of Rumpelstiltskin 

18. Moment of Truth by Kasie West: our girl is bugged by a masked dude who crashes her swim meet and decides she must find out who he is

19. Hearts in Harmony by Trish Milburn: the last two guys in this lovely fictional band finally find love like all the members have done in the previous books


MAY

20. What I Like About You by Marisa Kanter: cute story of a blogger who is in love with a guy who so knows both online and in real life, but he only knows her as the blogger and thinks the real life her is someone different.

21. The Toll by Neal Shusterman: third book in the Scythe trilogy where everything finally comes to a crazy climax

22. To Best the Boys by Mary Weber: when our girl decides to join a contest previously meant only for boys

JUNE

23. The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes: The story of a lady who rode a horse in the backwoods of Kentucky to deliver books to people.

24. You're My Star by Trish  Milburn: We start the journey of following a new kpop band in their journey for love. 

JULY

25. Born a Crime by Noah Trevor: Just like the subtitle says "stories of a South African childhood" told with lots of candor and humor. 

26. They Called Us Enemy by George Takei: The story of George Takei's family's interment into camps of the Japanese during WWII, in a graphic novel form.

27. Somewhere Only We Know by Maurene Goo: A girl kpop star and a boy who wants to become a paparazzi dude randomly meet in Hong Kong and have an adventure.

August

28. Piranesi by Susanna ClarkeOur hero seems to be stuck living in some sort of huge palace building, and it's a mystery how he got there, or if he can (or wants to) get out.

29. The Black Witch by Laurie Forest: Our girl starts the story very prejudice against all the different races and peoples in her world, but learns that everyone has something to offer. 

30. My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand and others: A fun retelling of Jane Erye with the author (Charlotte Bronte) included as a character. 

31. Seven Deadly Shadows by Courtney Alameda: Based around folklore in Japan. Lots of monsters!

SEPTEMBER

32. Sunkissed by Kasie West: Fun, musically-themed story that includes a summer camp romance with a hot, long haired, sensitive guitar player. 

33. Anxious People by Fredrik Backman: In which a bank robber takes a group of people hostage and then stuff happens.

OCTOBER


34. Not Playing Fair by Terri Osburn:
  Fun romance about a baseball playing librarian heroine who is getting over being dumped when a new dude shows up to play ball. 

35. Furia by Yamile Saied Mendez: A girl has a dream to play soccer, but her family thinks it's crazy for her. She is out to prove them wrong!



NOVEMBER


DECEMBER

36. You Have a Match by Emma Lord: This one is about what happens if you take a DNA test and get a surprise. 


37. A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey:
 A Cuban girl from Miami who is struggling with lots of things that have gone wrong in her life is shipped off to spend the summer with her aunt in London. And how she finds herself there despite her best efforts to continue to hate life.
