Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want to Give

I'm not quite sure how to approach this list today. The Broke and the Bookish are asking us to list books we want to give for Christmas. So... are the books I want to give and the ones I'm giving one and the same? I'll just leave you guessing on the answer to that! And I'm not saying WHO I'd give them to, because what if I really DO give them to that person, and that person happens upon this list? Hmmmm??? What then?

Top Ten Books I Want To and Perhaps WILL Give for Christmas

1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
2. Variant by Robison Wells
3. Matched and Crossed by Ally Condie
4. The Clockwork Angel and Prince by Cassandra Clare
5. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
6. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
7. The Help by Kathryn Stockett
8. Wimpy Kid ... the latest... whatever it's called by Jeff Kinney
9. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
10. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

Whew!  I could go on and on with this one!

What books would you like to give?

Up next week: Books we want to GET for Christmas! Ha! That just makes me laugh!

  1. I am giving the Wimpy Kid book to my stepdaughter for Christmas . . . I think it's called Cabin Fever. Some of the other books you mentioned are on MY wish list, including Matched! I really want to read that one.

  6. I couldn't think of a list today. :( Which is funny because I'm giving away four or five books this Christmas. Like you, though, I didn't want to tell what I was giving away in case those people read my blog. ;)

  9. great list. you could easily shop for me. :)

Palahnuik has a new one out this year, and that would go to the husband. as well as The Marriage Plot (Eugenindes) and 1Q84 (Murakami). What is his is mine, too, right? kibuishi's latest Amulet came out this year, too, and that would be for the daughter. The Night Circus and Swamplandia! (k. Russell) and Daughter of Smoke & Bone (L. Taylor) for friends. and Barnes' The Sense of an Ending for an in-law.

  10. Great list, Suey.
I wish I had someone to give The Name of the Wind to because I would instantly be all over that! I am giving a copy of Steve Jobs to my father - his type of book and I may read it too. After he has read it, of course. ;)

I am giving Daughter of Smoke and Bone to a daughter of mine - thanks to L's review. Actually, I am giving a few books to a few of my girls based on L's reviews. Hmmm... I am thinking L should get a kick back of some sort for that. Ha. :)

What is great about giving family members books - especially to those who are living with me - is that I can read them too.

Can't wait for next week's list to see what you want.
