British Isles Friday: Our Stonehenge Experience
You know how you look forward to some things in life, like, forever, and then that thing finally happens. That's how it was for me finally seeing Stonehenge. But it wasn't quite the experience I thought it would be, because, you know, the weather in England can sometimes be a bit... inclement.
Here's a video of our Stonehenge experience back in 2003:
Anyway, if you go, be prepared for anything! And enjoy it no matter the weather!

This is definitely something I want to see one day!
ReplyDeleteKelly: Here's hoping it doesn't rain on you! I managed to get this video, but it was so crazy that we totally forgot to pull out our still camera and take a picture of ourselves there!
DeleteI'll bet that was awesome to see, although the weather could have cooperated more! What a rough day- you can really tell by the rain hitting the lens and the sound of the wind. Still I bet it was neat...
ReplyDeleteGreg: It was awesome for sure. It felt surreal, even with the rain!
DeleteStonehenge is top on my list. I definitely plan to be prepared for rain in England!

Joy: I wish we had found time to go again this last summer when we were there with the kids. They would have loved it. Oh, and if you want to get up close and personal with a stone circle, you can go to Ainsbury, where they let you walk among them and touch them and etc. That was cool too.
DeleteHaven't made it to Stonehenge yet, but it's on my list! And doesn't it always rain in England? *L*
