But I googled anyway, and found a Goodreads list, and whatdayaknow, there're books on there that I actually have heard of and am looking forward too, mostly authors of a local nature. Such as:
Top
1. Transparent by Natalie Whipple
2. Pivot Point by Kaesi West
3. Insomnia by J.R. Johansson
and also this one, because she's a famous book blogger:
4. Level 2 by Lenore Appelhans
....and that's really all that I can think of at the moment.
So, now you all tell me, what debuts should I totally be aware of that I'm so very not?
Be sure to check out everyone else's lists or to join in over at The Broke and the Bookish.
I usually don't pay attention to whether a novel is a debut or not either - so no help from me :-( But I'm with you - I'm not sure I want to get into the loop on this one - my reading list is big enough as it is!

I think Transparent is the one I'm looking forward to the most (that I know about) - it sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI am excited for Transparent too. I enjoyed level 2 , and have yet to read Pivot point . Love the covers choices
ReplyDeleteI am AWFUL at debut authors. I have a tendency to wait and see what everyone else thinks.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I love your title. It's hilarious. That's how mine would've been too had I done this list. The only debut I really know about is Taken. I haven't looked much at the debuts this year.
ReplyDeleteTransparent looks so good! :) My TTT list: http://aliceinreaderland.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/debuts/

Pivot Point is on my list too! And I just finished reading Level 2, which I really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI start hearing about debuts as people put up their challenge lists if they're participating. If not, I definitely look at lists on Goodreads. Lots sound great, but I like waiting to hear more opinions on new releases before I go out and buy them!
2013 looks like it's going to be a great year for reading! I would love for you to stop by my top ten.
ReplyDeleteI am always so slow knowing about debuts... Unless someone educates me on them or blogs about them, anyway!
ReplyDeleteThat Insomnia cover is frightening!!
