Too Much Downton Abbey?

The other day I was arguing with my kids, one in particular, when I shouted quite loudly, without thinking, "DON'T BE SO DAFT!!!" There was a slight pause, followed by a burst of giggles and then one kid said, "Mom, I think you've been watching too much Downton Abbey."

  3. There's no such thing. Actually, I think daft should be used more often. Along with gobsmacked. :-D

  4. I confess, I haven't seen it yet. But I do have the first season, ready to go. Is it really that good?

(I would never have associated the word 'daft' with a TV show though. It's been used my entire life - my parents said it a lot).

No. But it's harmless fun and the actors are terrific. The castle they use in real life belongs to the family that sponsored the expedition to The Valley of the Kings in 1922 to unearth King Tut's tomb.
