I can't believe I've never read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgen Burnett, but it's on my summer reading list. Many of the others you've listed would make my top ten, too -- Little House on the Prairie, Charlie and hte Chocolate Factory, and The Wizard of Oz, for sure.
