Top Ten Tuesday: Utah Authors I've Read the Most
Today's prompt over at The Broke and the Bookish is which authors have you read the most. Of course, being Utah Book Month, I'm going to tell you about the authors from Utah that I've read the most. I bet you can guess pretty quickly who they are!
Shannon Hale: I've read 13 of her books. Crazy, yes? I think that's all of hers. Nope, wait, I'm missing the last one I think....
Brandon Sanderson: I've read 9 of his books.. and I need to catch up and read like 4 or 5 more!
James Dashner: I've read 7 of his books, which is still not all of them.
Dan Wells: I've also read 7 of his, which is all of them that he's published traditionally. I think he may have one or two self published things that I haven't gotten a hold of yet.
Sara Zarr: With the book I finished last week, that makes six (and all) of her books that I've read.
Bree Despain: I've read all five of her books.
Mette Ivie Harrison: I've read five of her books too but it's not even close to all the books she's published.
Jessica Day George: And... five of her books! And yes, I'm still missing a few from her line up.
And just to round it out I've read four books each from Lisa Mangum, Ally Condie, Elana Johnson and J.R. Johansson.
Interesting little experiment that was! Have you read books by any of these popular Utah authors?
I think even if I hadn't narrowed this post to Utah authors, Shannon Hale and Brandon Sanderson would have been at the top of the list, probably along with Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and maybe Dr. Suess or something...
