Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR

So here's the thing. I'm having a bit of a struggle with the list prompt today because my spring TBR is the same TBR that it's always been. The same as my winter one, and the same that summer will be. Nothing is new, nothing is different.

What I mean to say is, I have nothing cool and and new and upcoming to list here. Most of you are so hip and with it that you are listing the upcoming spring releases that you are all gaga about. I don't have a list like this (except maybe a couple.) Instead, my "list" is (are?) the books you've seen me talking about over and over again.

So, yes, my spring TBR will consist of:

1. A couple of ARCs that I hope to read before/when they come out, like Transparent by Natalie Whipple, and The Eternal Code by Julie Kagawa.

2. Book club books like 1984 (if I decide to re-re read)  and I Am the Messenger (if I decide to re-re-re read, which I probably will!)

3. All the many books I've bought over the last few months that seem to come home and just sit there and make me crazy, like Everbound by Brodi Ashton and Fragments by Dan Wells, and tons of others. They were on the winter TBR and they'll be on the spring TBR and then the summer TBR, you'll probably see me list them again, and again, and again.

4. All the series that I want to start reading that I listed a week ago. They are on the winter, spring, summer and fall TBR  too. Oh, and don't forget all the series that I want to finish! (which I link I can't seem to find at the moment!)

5. All the books that I sort of told random not-so-well-known authors that sure, I'll read. And I mean to. This spring. Or summer. Or fall.

6. Books like Vanity Fair that I wanted to read with a read along, but can't read as fast as I'd like because of, all of the above.

7. And other classics that I want to read because I want to read ten classics a year, and that means never not reading a classic.

8. Then there's probably going to be some new read along suggested that I probably will have to join since I will probably not be able to NOT.

9. Plus, I'll probably buy more books that I don't even know about yet, and then THOSE will be on the spring TBR. And the summer. And then the fall.

10. And all the books in between everything else.

And so it goes.

  2. I totally know that feeling, I've had a list of books that I want to put on this list for like a year (or more) but I keep getting distracted by the shiny new books... Book addict problems, right?

  3. Aww ... I love your list! It can be so hard to pick out just 10 when your TBR pile is crazy. AND I'm totally like you and always buying new books. It's neverending! I hope you can conquer your pile, Suey!

  4. This is awesome! And totally how I feel about TBR piles. I change them up, I skip around, I wait months and months and more months to read something I've been wanting to read. Love it!

  6. Thank you for making me laugh about how rich we all are that we have so many books we can't get to them! lol we really are in the best of times for reading, aren't we?

I have to say the same about your classics point - I want to read more classics, but I get distracted by reading 100 books a year and some of those classics are so thick that if I have a hope of making my goal, I can't read the classics. Isn't that sad? lol

  7. Love this list because really, it's the curse of a booklover. There are ALWAYS more books to be read and some books just NEVER make it off the TBR list even though you have good intentions to get them off of there. It just gets to a point when you realize that it will never, ever, ever end. :P

  9. Ha! I love your list. I love that you left it open enough so you could change your mind yet still put books on there that you've been meaning/wanting to read!
