Readathon: Update 2/Hour Six

It can't be going by this fast now can it? Being this aware of time flying by makes me crazy. Seriously.

What I’m reading now: In between books, but now I think I will try Calamity Jack by Shannon Hale

How many page read since last update: 50

How many pages read total: 100

Books finished since last update: one! Yes, I finished The Shadow Rising. LOVED it!

How many minutes/hours read since last update: 2 hours

How many minutes/hours read total: 4 hours

What the family is reading: Toto has read 113 pages of Pendragon. Moder joined us for about 1/2 hour reading The Count of Monte Cristo

What we are listening to: mellow music mix on my iPod

What we are eating: had pancakes for breakfast and many handfuls of caramel popcorn. Yummy!

Distractions: You name it! I spent an hour with blogging, breakfast and a shower. Then kids started getting up and bugging. Then my mom called me, then a salesman came to the door, then we had cat and bird (cat in, bird out) together. Yeah, so it took me 2 hours to read the last 50 pages of my book. But I did it! ;)

Mini Challenges: Show Me Your Books mini challenge, wherein I show pictures of my book nook and where we are reading, and where most of my books are housed

Visits Made: yes, a few, but not much. I want to do more!

  1. Distractions...another reason why I could not comit myself to this readathon. The distractions never end.

You are doing great. are done with Shadow Rising...I am slowly moving along.

4 hours of reading...fantastic. Keep it up! :D

  2. Ah, distractions. I haven't had any except for my brain...which tends to wander and make me need to reread pages I just finished. Not fast reading, let's just say. BTW, I'm totally jealous of your book nook (still).

Keep going - you are doing fabulous!

  3. You are doing a GREAT JOB despite the distractions! But wow, did everyone get the memo to bug you today??

I love that you are getting the kiddos involved.

I am having a relaxing day here! Hope you get lots more reading in.

    Keep it up! :)

  4. You are doing really well, especially considering all the distractions you have had to deal with!
