Anyway, I've noticed a recent book blogger trend with celebrating our favorite bookish thing by hosting a love-fest week for that thing on our blogs. And so I thought, I must to do this for MZ and his awesome books! In thinking about when this week should take place, I remembered that he'll be here (here as in the US) this month to celebrate Chicago's city read along. I'm so jealous of them all. (If you live in this area... I really hope you are going!)
But, I decided what better way to join in the fun then by having our own celebration here, right? Of course right!
So today, I'm calling for help with this week.... which will take place Oct. 21 through 27. If you'd like to be featured here with a guest post (about anything related to MZ or his books) or if you have any other ideas on how you'd like to participate (perhaps a giveaway?), please let me know by filling out the form below, or simply sending me an email or comment. Whatever works. Some of you I already have in mind for something so I'll be contacting you! One thing I'd really like is for someone who's been thinking about reading one of his books and just hasn't managed it yet, to take the plunge now, and write their impressions for a guest post as part of the week's celebration.
So let me know if you'd like to participate! Thanks to those willing!
I'm not going to sign up incase other better options sign up but you know I'd be willing to do a review of Getting the Girl. Just let me know. :) I'm happy you decided to do this!
ReplyDeleteJenny: I don't why, but it makes really nervous to try this. But the idea wouldn't leave me alone, and so, here we are. And hey, I NEED you to do Getting the Girl... not many have read it and I know you can do it justice!
DeleteI'll do it! I want to re-read it anyway. Better get a big box of tissues.
DeleteI would love to sign up, but I've already signed up for the Fairy Tale Read-a-thon at Debz Bookshelf, and I don't know if I can do both! If you don't fill in all the gaps though, definitely let me know!
ReplyDeleteKami: Okay, I'll keep you in mind. When is the Fairy Tale Readathon? That same week?

ReplyDeleteIs this a hint, lol? I don't know if I can manage it by then. I feel so overwhelmed right now with a lot of things. Reading is kind on the back burner. Hmmm. Do I do it? ... Could I write the post later in the week giving me the full amount of time to get it done?
It would be for The Book Thief.
DeleteJenni: Sent you an email... but I'll say again... don't rush this book!
DeleteThis is such a great idea! I love Zusak.
ReplyDeleteMelissa: Yay! I'm glad you approve! :) Just sent an email to you!
DeleteAnd now I find your post. So excited for this! And yeah for celebrating our week-long reading loves.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any ideas, I just wanted to say this is a fantastic idea! I've only read The Book Thief by this author, but it instantly became one of my favorite books. The writing, the story, the characters, it blew me away!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth: Yep... it blew me away as did all the other books he wrote! :)
