August Reading Recap

Wow, I can't believe that I only read four books in August. This is crazy. Granted, The Way of Kings should count for four books all by itself, but still.

Anyway, for what it's worth, here's what I read!

Illusions by Aprilynne Pike: The third book in the saga of Laurel, a faerie, and her two boys, one also a faerie and one very much human.

Middlemarch by George Eliot: Life in a small English town as told through the stories of a young doctor, a young wandering boy, an old banker, a sensible girl and her best boy friend, and an insensible girl who married an old scholar.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson: The first book in an epic fantasy that takes place in the world of Roshar where violent storms have caused life to adapt in a strange and unique way.

Possession by Elana Johnson: In a world where Thinkers control the people, it's hard to tell what's Good and what's Bad.

Actually, in looking back at last  month's recap, I pretty much accomplished my August goals! So there you go! My favorite of this month was The Way of Kings, hands down. Awesome fun book.

Here's what I hope to read next month for September:
  • Before this month is out I want to start Under the Dome at least, and count it for R.I.P. VI
  • I also want to read Odd Thomas and count it for R.I.P.
  • Next on tap is Supernaturally and Divergent, which my sister said she'd read with me.
  • I also really want to read A Soldier's Wife.
Think I can handle that? I sure hope so!

What did YOU read this month?

  2. Holy Crap! You got a pretty good explanation of Middlemarch down in one sentence?! Impressive. I'm getting so nervous and excited to see what you think of Odd Thomas. Gulp!
