Listful Monday: Book Movies

The topic for the list today is "book movies." So off the top of my head, and with only a cursery look at the actual collection, here's a few book movies we have around here:

1. Pride and Prejudice, the Colin Firth one
2. Noth and South, the Richard Armitage one
3. Sense and Sensibility, the Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant one
4. Holes
5. Princess Bride
6. The Princess Diaries
7. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
8. Harry Potter and the ___________
9. Lord of the Rings
10. Ella Enchanted
11. Chocolat
12. Seabiscuit
13. Charlie and Chocolate Factory, the Johnny Depp one
14. Peter Pan, the play with Cathy Rigby
.... and I'm sure there's many many more.

Interesting that some of these listed above are some of my all time favorite movies!

What are some of your favorite book movies?

  1. You've listed some of my favs. I never fail to laugh at the scene in The Princess Bride where Wesley is tumbling down the hill saying "as you wish" and then Buttercup throws herself after him!

  3. Fun post. I love Persuasion (the one with Rupert Penry-Jones), and Gone With the Wind. Different stories, but they make me so happy, happy, happy!
