I read THE FORSYTE SAGA this year and had a hard time getting through it. I felt it was just too long, and I couldn't really connect with any of the characters. And I think I'm the only person who didn't like THE THIRTEENTH TALE. But I loved THE BOOK THIEF and THE MEMOIRS OF CLEOPATRA. Like they say, it's a vanilla/chocolate thing!
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how we are all different! I got totally wrapped up with the Forsyte characters! In fact, I went on to read A Modern Comedy.. which I also really enjoyed, but not enough to add it to the Top Ten. I'm still debating reading the last huge book The Final Chapter because it's about totally different characters, so.. I don't know....
