I am feeling a bit like that right now. Mos...YES. I am feeling a bit like that right now. Mostly it's because the stupid due dates at the library make me feel like I HAVE to finish this book OR ELSE. And we know how I feel about fines. Anyway, I haven't decided what to do, except not get any extra books from the library. Eh. I can't stop reading.melissa @ 1lbrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03292714636311546457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-30115165968743516322009-11-23T09:41:29.970-07:002009-11-23T09:41:29.970-07:00I am in sort of a reading funk right now. The book I am currently reading hasn't really captured my attention yet but once it does, it will be all good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-10511839755667654402009-11-23T08:03:26.935-07:002009-11-23T08:03:26.935-07:00YES. Then I picked up a Time Magazine "book" of essays (which I'm planning to review soon). Then I was finally ready to get back to "real" books. Maybe you just need to give yourself permission to NOT pick up a book for a day or two ... that may be all it takes. I know that since my mini break, every book I've picked up has seemed fantastic.Heather J. @ TLC Book Tourshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474181812740579350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-23429587060735851152009-11-23T04:36:45.589-07:002009-11-23T04:36:45.589-07:00Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with book group reads...Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with book group reads, challenges and finishing books i've borrowed, but i don't get tired...more like impatient to read what i feel like with no time constraint.Bybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10061186489010154661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-41560356968746302142009-11-22T21:45:58.109-07:002009-11-22T21:45:58.109-07:00I go through reading funks at least a couple of ti...I go through reading funks at least a couple of times each year, and usually when that happens I take about a week off from reading. I basically don't read until I feel like I'm dying to read again. Thankfully it doesn't happen very often, but when it does I try to take a break. I want reading to be something that I love doing. That's also why I've been trying to plan on accepting only a few review copies each month. That way there won't be any pressure if I need to take a break. (This is easier in theory than in practice, of course.)Alycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919057159829023714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-55002060702154915622009-11-22T21:40:08.886-07:002009-11-22T21:40:08.886-07:00Yes, I do have times when I just get tired of read...Yes, I do have times when I just get tired of reading. So I took up an old hobby and started making bookmarks which I'm planning on giving away on my blog! I've found that since I started doing this, I've enjoyed the time I do spend reading much more. So maybe you just need to do something else some of the time.Daphnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12838072651419264066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-18427465902879379962009-11-22T19:20:22.861-07:002009-11-22T19:20:22.861-07:00You read way more than me. At this point in my life, I read less than I probably ever have since learning to read, unless you count children's books and whatever I read browsing the web -- ha, I can't IMAGINE how much reading my browsing would add up to. But, even when I was reading my most, I'd always read in fits and spurts... voraciously race through book after book, and then have a few days or weeks where I would just relax during my commute instead of reading, quilt at home instead of curling up with a book. Just my personality - I'm an obsessive, fickle hobbyist. :)Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07309501483266246859noreply@blogger.com
