Listening to it, I realized that I liked Jeff Buckley's version much better - it has more intensity and variation, and it remains my overall favorite. I should listen to Leonard Cohen's original one day, though.Florindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09789402061034734894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-21855352310984960962011-01-07T19:43:29.785-07:002011-01-07T19:43:29.785-07:00Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it when I s...Oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it when I saw your post. This song has been stuck in my head all afternoon as I sat doing report cards in my classroom. The Shrek version came on Pandora and then I was stuck until I had my fix of the Canadian Tenors. Now I have more to listen to!! THANK YOU! I do believe my ears are in for another treat! Now if we can convince Josh to sing it.....Inside A Bookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16962025550367558251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-49271183806371120802011-01-07T18:36:32.324-07:002011-01-07T18:36:32.324-07:00Love this song! The Wainwright version is my fave but that Buckley version is a close second. I would love to hear the Canadians Tenors and Sarah Mac do a version with no orchestration.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05554217416500328610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-9510875450984637392011-01-07T16:31:04.384-07:002011-01-07T16:31:04.384-07:00Yep, I had a feeling you'd all love the Jeff B...Yep, I had a feeling you'd all love the Jeff Buckley one the best! I do believe that Leonard Cohen will remain my favorite. Jeff Buckley, of course, did one amazing job with this song...such a shame this talent is dead. However, I do like Brandi Carlile's version a whole lot, and is my second favorite, but unfortunately the link I had to her version no longer exists...I found a different one but it is not a great video and she sounds a bit muffled, but I will share it anyway! After Carlile, I like Bon Jovi (of course), and then I like Rufus Wainwright.

I think the Canadian Tenors did a great job as did Jason Castro. Thanks for sharing the versions you found.

Brandi Carlile - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHAgtu11RPM
Bon Jovie - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSJbYWPEaxwibeeeghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10222760102843468991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-67767141634710891732011-01-07T08:40:31.750-07:002011-01-07T08:40:31.750-07:00Oh, I love this song!
