I just WISH it were not the case!

Utah Mom: People ARE interesting! That's for sure!

Mouse: See I can't usually read while waiting for the doctor..sometimes, but not usually.

Jeane: Sometimes I suppose reading helps me to forget about life's worries. I guess it depends on what the worries are!

Robert: I like the smell of electronics too! Reminds me of Christmas morning!

Lisa: My husband isn't much of a TV watcher, but if he was, hopefully I'd be able to sit and read while he watched... and not just watch with him! :)

Sarah: There's so many authors who's books I want to catch up on! It's a never ending project. I love it though.Sueyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02926501219758538615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-44937214544095898232011-03-21T21:26:22.431-06:002011-03-21T21:26:22.431-06:00We are a bit of the same mind.

I think I am this way to. Largely when I really into a book that I can't put down, its because I want to find out what happens with the characters.

5. Me too. I'm usually reading in front of the tv, or with music on.

6. Mornings are my guaranteed time for reading

9. I'm the same. If I try to analyze and interpret a book, it feels too much like school and I disliked doing book reports and reviews in schoolsawcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05665856636670547062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-63550841275772264232011-03-21T18:57:42.109-06:002011-03-21T18:57:42.109-06:00I've really trained myself over the past coupl...I've really trained myself over the past couple of years to read while the tv is on. My hubby turns that sucker on the minute dinner is over and spends the rest of the night channel surfing. I can't stand to watch with him but I like to be where family is at. Love to read in bed but I'm with you, morning is best.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05554217416500328610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-30065020787876123192011-03-21T17:04:55.083-06:002011-03-21T17:04:55.083-06:00I love the smell of new paperbacks too, but I'...I love the smell of new paperbacks too, but I'm branching out into ebooks, so I'll have to get used to the smell of plastic casing. And I'm the opposite of you with distractions- I can't read if there are lots (or very noisy) outside distractions, but reading is a great method for me to get away from my own mind (worries) so I employ it a lot for that. Especially late at night when I've seen a scary movie- I have to read something lighthearted to change my mood and be able to sleep!Jeanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270303640902731044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-6510931573816307572011-03-21T13:00:14.248-06:002011-03-21T13:00:14.248-06:001. And have you noticed the very wide Mass Market paperbacks? They seem wider than trade paperbacks. There are quite a few of them at Costco. I picked one up, and instantly hated it because it's too wide for my small hands.

3. Ditto!

4. Also ditto.

5. Haven't thought about it. I read while waiting for the dentist, doctor, etc.

6. Anytime I can read without interruption is a major bonus, I don't care what time of day!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5566869117228903343.post-50545725488682993162011-03-21T08:54:52.474-06:002011-03-21T08:54:52.474-06:00I love the smell and feel of real books and I pref...I love the smell and feel of real books and I prefer Trade paper backs but I do buy a lot of hard backed books if I can get them cheaper on amazon.

I can only read one book at a time (except for the scriptures) and I usually read at night when the kids are in bed but I can read through the distraction of TV or my husband.
I love character driven stories too. T...I'm definitely a trade paperback girl, too. Trade paperbacks fit in my purse, but they aren't so *cheap* feeling. I always read in bed before I go to sleep, but I'm like you that I prefer that morning reading time when I can get it - when I'm fresh!

Last year I finally scrapped the whole reading more than one book at a time thing because I found that for me, I actually ended up reading *less* because of reading *more* at one time. Crazy, huh? ;-)Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07751131767729086158noreply@blogger.com
